Musical
Fidelity A-5 Electronics and ERA Loudspeakers
Meeting
Notes
This was one fine program opening 2006.
David Solomon was our featured presenter for the launch
of the new cost effective 'ERA' standmount/bookshelf
loudspeakers. These new models serve both 2 channel
and multi-channel applications. David is also the importer/representative
of the famed Musical Fidelity Electronics from England.
The latest A-5 Series integrated 250 WPC amplifier
and separate 24/192 upsampling CD player were auditioned
with the 'ERA' loudspeakers and powered subwoofer. These
top performing loudspeakers featuring premium engineering
and parts range in price from $600 to $900 per pair.
The optional 300w self powered 12" subwoofer retails
for $1000.
We also raffled numerous SACD's and
CD's and a pair of 'ERA' Design 4 mini 2-way loudspeakers
donated by David Solomon. This was a great chance to
expand our music collections with some of the latest
releases from Telarc and others and expand your hi-fI
with a fine new pair of loudspeakers for home, office
or computer. Many thanks to David Solomon for
presenting such a fun and informative program and your
generous raffle prizes.
